absolutic Posted February 4, 2013 Share Posted February 4, 2013 Artificial intelligence techniques are no longer highly specialized academic methods, they gained wide acceptance and prominence due to implementation in commonly used web-sites and services, ex. Amazon, Google, Facebook - search by image file, intellectual targeting of advertisements on websites, recommendations of people with similar interests in social networks. Many of these techniques could be used with great benefit in the field of E-Commerse for solving such tasks as product recommendation based on users data and users activity on the webshop, authomatic dividing products to the categories, advertisement targeting, selection of similar or the least similar products, authomatic categories or tags assigning in order to decrease manual labour. Because of these approaches are rarely used in common websites I'm intrested in their promotion since they can be very useful even for ordinary sites and webshops. I've developed the module "Autotags" for authomatic tags assignment based on Bayesian rule - using existing information on what tags have been used to mark present products module proposes tags for new products. You can find its description and demo links there.
