Multiple thumbnails on category page linking to same product.

Hi

Sorry if the title seems a little confusing, but I'd like to be able to do the following if possible:

 

I have a style of - for instance - shoe, that is available in three colours.

 

All the colours and combinations are on one page (a bit like the iPods in the sample data).

 

On the corresponding category pages, I'd like to have thumbnails of all the colour combinations available, while all linking to the same page.

 

Is this possible? Or would it require extensive reprogramming?
