Country requires states

Hello, I have selected NON, France don't have states on shipping countries and system ask me to entry state for this country.

 

I empty cache many times and doesn't work. Important info: Canada is the country by default and he has states.

 

A help will be so much appreciated.

Try this:

 

Assuming 1.5 shop.

 

back office->localization->localization

select the country you want, select content to import (states, etc)

click import.

This will bring in the states.

Thank you Patron, in fact I'm not interested to have states on others countries than Canada or those by default (US, Italy or Argentina).

 

I only do deliveries on Canada which have states.

The issue is when client choose a billing country other than Canada, then system ask to entry state even if country don't have states or even if option "states" for this country was deselected.

 

I use Prestashop 1.4.8.2

Sorry, you English is very good, I did not read your post very well.

 

Are you using a customer template (not default template by PrestaShop).

 

My guess is that your template theme/address.tpl is not PrestaShop compliant when country has no states, or states disabled for that country in the back office.

I can do some modifications on this page but because I don't know which line I have to modify, I will have to contact a programmer I believe.
