[SOLVED] exclude category from search results

Hi,

 

How could I exclude one category from the results of a quick search?. This is a category where I have sorted some accessories and "readme" files that are not relevant to the main product catalog.

 

i'm using the search block in the top Horizontal menu. PS. 1.5.17

Solved. It seems that excluding a category from the search can be done only by clicking on the "DISPLAYED" option on the category list. It should have a RED mark on it. Products won't be listed in the search results.

 

However, if the products in this NON-Displayed category happen to be "accessories" of other products, they will be displayed under the associated product's page.

Unfortunately when you mark category as "No displayed" you can't access to the category neither.
