Newbie needs help (statscounter)

Hello,

I need some help having no experience at all in programing.

I wish to install "statcounter" on my website.

I have the code, and I am supposed to past it on the "root", or as they call it:

I have full access to my ftp, but have no idea which file should I edit, and where is it.

As I understood, a simple editor may be used, but I don't know what to edit...

The installed details:

Prestashop version: 1.4.8.2

 

Server information: Linux #1 SMP Tue Jan 31 15:43:27 EST 2012 x86_64

 

Server software version: Apache

 

PHP version: 5.2.17

 

MySQL version: 5.1.66-community-log
