Mobile Template 1.4 not compatible with one page and guest checkout?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We've downloaded and installed the Mobile Template 1.4 successfully into our store and at a glance it seems to work fine, but then I found a couple of issues that currently makes it unusable to us:

1. In our "normal" store we support guest checkout without registration (which I think is a given). Customers shouldn't have to register if they don't want to. This is not a technical bug, but rather a design flaw.

The technical bug comes when checking out through the mobile template. The user is given two options "log in" or "register", logging in works fine, but when you click "register" nothing happens.

The register option works fine when done from the front page, but it doesn't work if you try doing it during checkout. I suspect this has something to do with our store having guest checkout available in the regular store?

2. When the mobile theme is activated the "one page checkout" stops working in the regular store, instead it seems like it forces you into a 5-step checkout which also breaks the normal theme and puts you in the mobile theme, even though you are browsing from a regular computer.

If the above issues were fixed this would be a really sweet module, since I think there's a large benefit from adapting to m-commerce for most of us.

My "wish list" for the mobile template:

1. Enable guest checkout.

2. Fix the registration issue for those that want to register

3. Fix any compatability issues with "regular store" settings such as one page checkout.

Best regards,

Victor
