Something wrong in my mail settings

Hello:

Good morning. Just finished my Prestashop installation in order to learn it.

I have it installed local in XAMPP 1.8.1 for Windows using Mercury mail server bundled with Xampp.

I configured Mercury mail and checked and it works fine.

My issue is with Prestashop mail configuration.

I placed the same parameters as I have in Mercury and does not work at all, giving me the below message

 

The SMTP connection failed to start [ssl://smtp.gmail.com:25]: fsockopen returned Error Number 1430218799 and Error String 'Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?'

 

Is there anybody who knows which is the wrong parameter? My skills in programming are not very deep.
