spinnerij Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 I am setting up a Presta 1.5. shop, but it seems I must switch to another system because of the way Prestashop behaves. My dedicated server went down due to a monstreous query when I uploaded my products. It seems this happens when a category is fairly crowded (in our case almost 500 products). A server overload was the immediate result in the test environment. When this happens in a real time environment with a few or a lot of visitors everything stops and the server has to be restarted. phrasespot Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 There is a marked performance difference between 1.5.0.17 release and the current SVN version. Try with the next release. As for the quesry you attached, create a bug report and attach it there. That should help the to pinpoint and solve the problem. I suspect this is due to the new way of building queries in 1.5.
