How to communicate shippind ID in the email to the customer?

Hi all,

 

I'm using 1.4.9.0 version and trying to understand if it is possible to input the shipping number for the orders already shipped, in order to send to customers the automatic email "shipped" containing the Carrier tracking shipping url and the number to track.

 

My carrier has not a module to integrate to Prestashop.

 

I found in "Carriers" I can write the url to be used on traking, but where to inform the shipping ID for each order?!

If you have entered a tracking URL using the http://yourcarrier.com/?trackingid=@ format in the carrier configuration. When you go into the order and put the order on status shipped, a new field will be accessible in the order details page where you can input the tracking number. When saved, an email will be dispatched to the customer with the tracking URL and tracking number. Edited by scorpionsworld (see edit history)
