Special php code after order confirmation

I'm new to Prestashop and evaluating if migrating from Virtuemart.

 

Would need to know if it's possible to add some code after the order is confirmed to process my own PHP functions, may be there is already an extension available but haven't found.

You can add a hook at order confirmation. This is for 1.4 http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/Understanding+and+using+hooks

 

For 1.5 http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Hooks+in+PrestaShop+1.5
