matt224 Posted September 15, 2012 Share Posted September 15, 2012 Hi Everyone, I was really looking forward to using Prestashop this weekend however I seem to be stuck on a new install my hosting provider has configured MYSQL5 on port number 3307. At the installation I'm entering localhost:3307 but it will not connect as I receive the following error message “Database Server is not found. Please verify the login, password and server fields (DbMySQLi)” So I created a database using MYSQL4 which I know is using the standard port of 3306 so i left the database server address as localhost and this time it connects but then errors with “Cannot convert database data to utf-8 (DbMySQLi)” I don’t want to use MYSQL4 so hence why I’m not fussed about the last error but it’s a clear indication of the installer not connecting to the specified port number.
