davewalschot
so, this is our challenge; We currently sell to a couple of countries where A we know our product (electronic cigarettes) can be shipped to. B we have shipping costs setup C we have payment options configured Now of course, commercially seen we would like to sell across the world :-) but its quite a job setting everything up for all countries. so, hoping to get some advise on how to configure / modify the shop that: 1) the shop is available to everyone 2) once a customer is interested in buying (and we know where we need to ship-to) we can let them know that currently we are not able to ship to this country, but are willing to add it. So we should somehow be notified in case this happens. Who has solved this problem? and how? We are currently on 1.4.8.2 but are planning to move to 1.5 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! El Patron
Prestashop does a great job at allowing you to configure a country product catalog by price, shipping, taxes etc. In essence allows you to set up have a product catalog by country (except for available by. You limit the countries by offering only countries at customer registration time that you want to do business in and have defined prices, shipping, taxes for. However your unique country product catalog requires that your visitor be signed to see their countries unique product catalog. For non-logged in visitors, they see your shops default country. I have addressed this logged non-logged default country disconnect with our GeoTargetingPro module. Without this module or another like it (none exist at this timeJ) you will not be able to consistently present a unique catalog by country. I hope this helps and that I have stayed on topic.
