Database at fault

I believe my database is at fault as

 

my loyality system only works on new products,

 

i do not get an email of new orders, even a test email takes around 2 hours to get to me

 

i can not change the time zone

 

i can not use the 5 step guest checkout as there is no phone number but works on a 1 step checkout

 

everything else seems to work ok.

 

my question is can i do a fresh install and them import back in my products and customers if so which tables do i export?

 

or

 

is it possible to leave my shop as it is, install a new shop and them export from the new database the time zone, loyality and email config and so on

 

if so please which tables do i need to export.

 

i have 5 databases i can use so have the space to mess about it

 

i believe the problem happened as my original shop was on a mysql5-5.bdb database, i exporteded it a

Private SQL : sqlprive Service : MySQL Version : 5.1.31

database.

and then updated to PS 1490

 

i was thinking of leaving it and waiting for 1.5 to come out but thought this wouldnt fix the database problem
