Current category discount help urgent

Prestashop 1.4.4.0

 

Current category discount doesn't work

 

created a new group,set discount at 1%

 

set different Current categories discounts at higher than1%,

placed a customer in new group

 

but all products discounts are at 1%

 

 

how to make this work properly ?

 

so frustrating willing to buy a module that works

I managed to find a solution to work around this problem

 

 

The problem is that Current category discount doesn't work with subcategories only parent categories.

 

 

if you want to apply a discount to products in a sub category, set the global discount for this group to 0

 

create a new parent category , but do not make it visible.

 

add this invisible category to current discount category and add discount that you want to apply

 

put any product that you want this discount to apply into the invisible category in addition to it's own category.

 

 

hopefully it will help some one else.

Actually there is another solution to this problem, it's to add current discount categories but do not press save button.

 

If press save you have to delete categories and add them again

 

Anyway this new solution will help apply massive discounts to specific products.

What a nightmare this is turning out to be

 

When adding a new Current category discount get error

 

An error occurred while adding a category group reduction. All previous Current category discounts don't work anymore

 

Conclusion : forget about Prestashop

same problem for me - 1.4.8.3 and now 1.5.017
