How do customers react to a minimum purchase quantity

Dear all,

 

I am currently setting my shop that sells porcelain.

 

I will use drop shipping as logistics but my supplier is requesting that my clients should buy a minimum quantity so that he doesn't loose money.

 

So I would like to know how do clients react to the following :

 

- Minimum purchase of 20 euros

Is it possible to add extra handling fees if the client purchases under 20 euros and that handling fee disappears for purchases over 20 euros?

 

- Minimum quantity per item

Maybe I can apply price reduction starting at a certain volume.

 

Anyone has an ideas?
