image thumbs bar full width of product block?

Hey, I am reworking the product pages of my shop http://www.ethical-pets.co.uk/10-huck.html this is my example page. I still have a lot to do, but just now I would like to figure out:

 

Can i make the scrolling image thumbs bar longer, so it goes across the full width of the product page (or as far across as the images go) but still be a scrolling bar in-case i have too many images to fit on one line.

 

I thought it could be possible if I moved my images into the product footer (not sure if that would work) but anyway, my product footer is now at the bottom of the page with the accessories module in it.

 

anyone have any ideas as to if this would work?

 

(also, if anyone knows why the accessories tab flashes up before moving to the footer and if I can stop it, that would be useful too!)

 

I have attached an example where photos go all the way across, and one where there are fewer and so they only go part way
