Layered Navigation Crashing Server

Hi,

 

We are trying to use Layered Navigation (V1.8.5) on our site. All seems ok to create and select a filter, however, in the front end, if a filter option is removed it appears to get stuck in a continuous loop and starts to use every bit of available resource on the server (looking in Plesk, the server usage goes up to to 100%). This then obviously crashes the whole server and site.

 

We have tried uninstalling and deleting the module and installing again, but always the same thing happens.

 

Has anyone experienced this problem and been able to resolve it.

 

Our server information is:

Prestashop version: 1.4.7.0

Server information: Linux #1 SMP Fri May 20 03:51:51 BST 2011 x86_64

Server software version: Apache

PHP version: 5.3.13

MySQL version: 5.1.61

 

The operating system is Centos 6
