The particular theme I have is fubar (messed up) for the PS newsletter module and would take some wrenching to fix. I made the PS newsletter sign up work temporarily and looked around and it seems that the entire facility merely generates a csv file at which point you have to go find another app to use to actually send a newsletter. Is this correct? If so, what are some low-cost options for the actual newsletter? I am about <---> this close to just writing it myself after looking around for open source php mailing lists and such. phplist is the only one Ive seen that isnt so old its laughable and it is not a great solution for a lot of reasons.
