Importing database backup from 1.4.7.0 to 1.4.8.2

How can you import (or recover) your database from 1.4.7.0 when the prefix of the tables is ps_table, when 1.4.8.2 uses pr_table?

 

I am basically trying to use a saved backup, to repopulate another site?

 

I know I can do an excel dump, but that would be time consuming and wouldn't fully populate my tables. If I rename my saved tables from ps_ to pr_ would that work? I noticed the newer version PS, has some additional tables not used in 1.4.7.0. The longest option would be to reimport each table, one by one.
