TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to save addresses

Hello, I'm new to Prestashop. I've been asked by a client to investigate a problem with their shop

 

They are getting a window pop up with the message

 

TECHNICAL ERROR: unable to save

addresses

Details:

Error thrown [Object XMLHttpRequest]

Text Status ERROR (give or take a few colons)

 

This seems to occur when placing an order and going with the Instant Checkout option. After entering personal details, name & address etc. It appears the form remains "sticky" and maintains the data in the form fields. If the user then re-clicks the "save" button this error pops up and the order gets stuck.
