Potential bug: slideshow interferes with Ajax

I use PS 1.4.6.2

I have asked this in other forums, and the concensus is that it seems to be a bug.

 

My shop homepage has a slideshow.

The Javascipt file for the slideshow seems to interfere (stop Ajax functions working). I have since removed most Ajax functions from the homepage (including collapsable category menu).

 

The problem blocks remaining are:

 

- The Cart blog, which is not expandable/ collapsable

- "Add to Cart" (the lavender "aggiungi al carello" button) a product and special effect of product zooming into the cart does not happen.

 

Repeat - this only affects the homepage as this is where the slideshow sits.
