bmjbox
Hello Everyone, I'm new here and currently developing a webstore. I found prestashop as the best solution there is! Fastforward abit, I was concerned about credit card fraud and chargebacks, considering I'm on a low profit margin, any charge back can really hurt the business. I was initially draw to moneybookers as they have a charge back protection option in place (I wouldn't go into the details here), but there's a also a chargeback fee in their fees section. (http://tinyurl.com/7pqu5g7) Anywayhow, I just got off the phone with them about 15 min ago, so I wish to share what I have been told. Basicly from what I have been told: If anyone issued a chargeback with their bank and successful (I don't expect Moneybookers will fight it on your behalf), they will also impose a 25.00€ fee on top of the chargeback. The analogy I put to the person I spoke to was: So if someone bought a product from me for 10 € and issued a chargeback, you will return the 10 € from my account and also a 25.00€ fee? so the total would be 35 €? The answer given was a YES. Further questioning the representative was to consider the 25 € as processing fee. This was pretty much a deal breaker for me, as I was looking for more protection, lower the risk etc; not more creative ways to kill off my business caused from fraudsters. I just want to put the words out for those who are considering or already using Moneybookers, look at their chargeback policy more closely and make a more informed decision. Cheers everyone.
