Product color options in url

I'm filling my webshop with products, but now i'm thinking about how google will find different color versions of a single product. Is there a specific url for the different product options. For example i've product x with three colors which will make:

• product x-red
  
• product x-blue
  
• product x-green
  

Now only product x-red is showing and product x-blue and x-green are only accessible by a javascript function. If i'm typing product x-green in google, will there be a direct prestashop link to this product option?

If it's the same product just in different colors, it's not worth having separate links. It will be regarded as duplicate content.

It may depending if people are searching for these specific color options, includings searches for product references with color details. Lets say I'm looking for a product with reference number 123R which stands for the product in red or I'm searching for product 123B which stands for the product in blue. Is this working with the color options in prestashop or should i make it different products?

We have similar issues - we sell products that are sought by color very often, so we categorized by color. So in your example, you would put all red products into one main product, green into one main product, etc. It took a lot of work for us, but because we have a very long experience in how people relate to products via colors, it is worth it. I hope this little bit of insight helps.
