Performance Tab not saving

Hi guys,

 

today I upgraded to 1.4.5 and got the first bug after about 3minutes. The performance Tab in the backend won't save any changes. So right now, I can't enable smarty's performance mode and the loading times are not acceptable at all.

 

Is there any easy and fast solution without editing the AdminPerformance.php? Could this be related to permissions in the config files (currently 755, should be fine)?

EDIT: Values in the database are correct, but the backend won't show the correct values.

 

EDIT2: Solved... had to disable the entire caching (not just smarty), then reload the backend and login again. now everything seems to be working.
