We have old version of prestashop and can't upgrade to new with all great features. What about implement our product part idea to new versions? We implemented some sort of product filters too: http://skutry-levne.cz/3187-nahradni-dily?filter[1]=236&filter[2]=239 Before filters, we had hundreds of categories and shop was very slow. If you are interested in implementing our features in new versions, I can provide full code of our solution which was tuned for almost year.
