php.ini causes white screen

Hi,

 

I have my site on justhost.com and it supports php.ini overide files, these files work fine when put in my root and in joomla folders. However when i place them in my prestashop root directory, prestashop no longer works and just displays a white screen. The admin section still works unless i put a php.ini file in the admin folder.

 

I have tried blank php.ini and i have double checked ones with stuff in to make sure they have correct syntax.

 

I am trying to use a php.ini overide file to turn fopen on which prestawshop says is turned off.

 

Is this a fault with prestashop or am i missing something?
