internet explorer not lining up- but ok in firefox

hi im having problems with getting my template to line up in internet explorer, when i upgraded to v 1.4 i had to re edit my template which worked fine on v 1.3 but now i have this problem the website looks fine in firefox , safari, chrome , but not explorer i know alot of people have been having problems with internet explorer and i have been modifying the css but cant seem to get it right any help would be great as this is taking me ages to get right

IE is truly pain in the ass. I've manage to deal with such problems by creating ie specific css rules. Check this link, hope it will help you (look at the the bottom of the article-"Hacks") - http://css-tricks.com/132-how-to-create-an-ie-only-stylesheet/

cheers dude - gonna check it out , i don't know why Microsoft dont just use the same system as the rest of the browsers ive loads of posts about issues wit ie -- many thanks for the post im on it

ive had a look at that page u recommended snade and if i am to get this right i have to remake the css so it is suited to IE and run 2 differant css files for my site

Yeah, we all love internet explorer

just add ie specific rules for the broken elemets. It wont took you so long
