Editing the add products page

Im having difficulties finding how to edit the options for the add product page, there are for the store i am creating alot of unnecessary options that I need to remove. (such as ean etc) can somebody provide some insight into how to do this for me please, i have searched both google and here but seem to be coming up dry, any help would be appreciated. thank you.

What do you want to remove from product page?

Multiple things really, such as the sizes of items and the EAN etc, I dont want to remove the items from the database just really hide the items as a user is having problems simply ignoring them on the page, thank you.

 

By items i mean the options on the page, sorry my english isnt great today.

What if you just don't fill in the field when adding the product?

My thoughts exactly, but they arent able to do this (simply ignoring an option would be the simple way ey).

 

I need to figure out a way to not show the option and was wondering if anyone knew where these fields were generated from, I dont know if I am missing something but im struggling to find them in the php files.
