How can I give access to a category for UK only

Good evening

 

I have opened my store to ship worldwide but I have a healthcare category in which I can only sell those products to the UK and Ireland.

 

Is there a way of only allowing the products under this category to be visible or ability to go through checkout to UK and Ireland only. If so, how do I set this up please.

 

Any advice very welcome.

That is a little tricky with out of the box install. You could try:

 

- Create group "UK& Ireland" (Back Office > Customers > Groups)

- Create category "Healthcare" and select only group "UK& Ireland" in "Group access" (Back Office > Catalog)

- Add all UK & Ireland customers (retro-respectively) to group "UK & Ireland"

 

Newly registering customers remains a problem though until they are moved to "UK & Ireland" category.

 

There may also be a module for it.
