Adding a simple html in categories block

Hey all

 

I am almost done with the most of my design for my shop. I'm having difficulties with the categories block.

 

I want to add a link to a simple page where i can put guides etc. I would like to avoid having a shop to the guides where my customers have to "buy" the guides for nothing.

 

Is there a nice and easy way to do this? I am definitely not a sharp front-end programmer but I have decent skills in understanding the basics

You can create a category in the normal way, add the products Guide1, Guide2 (for example) and for every guide you can select in the product page, on the right, Option, check only Just online (I hope this is the right option in english, mine is translated). You will not have price, or buy button.

That wasnt a bad idea at all. I'm playing with that idea and doing some attachment guides. I'll see how it works.

 

Is it possible to change the product picture to a video player? That would make this very workable.

I don't think so, you should try this.

Add the video in the description or add a link to the video? I'm more interested in keeping the customer on my site and watching the movie onsite

You can add the movie in the description. You have a full text editor, click on the HTML and insert there your code.
