petersaudi Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Hi, My [spam-filter] has a prestashop production shop hosted on Rackspace cloud. She has taken a copy of the prestashop production shop and created a new instance called dev.domain name with a different IP. The A record on the DNS has been added to with dev.domain name and the new IP. Is it simple a case of writing a query to change the domain name and IP in tables? If so any idea what tables have the relevant records from the production instance that need to be changed. Any direction would be appreciated as I have posted 2 freelancer.com jobs and no one has produced what I have requested. I simple want a repeatable process so I can create a development or pre-production environment, complete the piece of work and then trash the instance. Then when I create another instance I need to repeat the process of production copy, new instance, make domain and ip changes. Thank you in advance for reading and hopefully responding to this post.
