Blank Page After Fresh Install

I'm getting a blank page after a fresh install of prestashop 1.4.3. The admin page works fine, but the main page is blank except for the logo. When I view source I see a 2 divs to divide up columns, but theres nothing in them. I tried enabling errors in config.ini.php, but I get no errors and the log file in log/ just has little mistakes I made in the install process. I tested this on my lighttp server on my computer and a friend's rented server (Apache, I think). PHP5 on both servers.
