Problem: Backend Icons not appearing

Hi there,

We are having an issue with our prestashop.

the backend is missing some of the pictures/images for icons (see attachment).

We are also experiencing a similar problem problem with our front end and product pictures!

Update: 19/07/2011
I looked at our Error log for the server. Very strange my finding - perhaps a BUG with the:

Back Office > Preferences > Image > Regenerate thumbnails Utility

When I ran this command, it seems to have deleted the "admin" folder in "root/img/" - because the log showed that the folder & images could not be found. So I checked the directory structure with a fresh install and the folder was missing from our existing install (and nobody deleted this manually!!). Fixed this by copying the folder over again.

This is very strange - I've tried to replicate the issue but it doesnt seem to create the same result (deleting folders/images). I suspect that with whatever happened, it also deleted the images generated by prestashop for our product catalog (xxxx being the original image name):

xxxx-large
xxxx-thickbox
xxxx-category
xxxx-home
xxxx-large_scene
xxxx-thumb_scene

the original image "xxxx.jpg" exists in the folders.

I think I'll have to reimport our images for our inventory... only fix
