Presta 1.4.3. Back Office issues (Themes and Orders

If I go into my preferences as the admin and try to change the background color or theme. It tells me that the update is successful but it does not make any changes or give any errors. In my case I made the background black with the old school theme and want to go back to white and I just stays black.

Also on the orders page. I went into an order and changed the status to processing and this has seemed to mess up the order details. If i try and revert it back to payment accepted it is still messed up. It only says "Invalid Date" and the rest of the page is gone.
