LeakyShoes
Could anybody help please?I've been trying for about 2 days now to get my images importing into my shop with no success.I've tried everything, the CHMOD settings, absolute links, relative links, the new image storage setting, regenerating thumbs, switching php safe mode off, ftp'ing the csv file and a few other tips I have found on this forum but the images are still not displaying...gggrrrrrThis is the last hurdle to getting this site launched and having overcome so many other massive issues fairly simply using prestashop and add ons I cant believe that such a simple thing is causing such a headache. If anybody does have any ideas I'd be most gratefulThanks allSimon

LeakyShoes
I seem to be consistently getting error messages on import also:Error copying image: 'IMAGELINK IS HERE'Any thoughts please Ladies and Gents
opo
I understand that is a problem of authorizing rewriting (777) of files in /img folders for Products. What is strange, to me, is that I can add images for the categories but not to products .So if it was an Hosting problem, this should be the case for the 2 situations: products AND categories.PrestaShop should give me more details because the following simple screen declaration :"Une erreur est survenue lors de la copie de l'image" is not enough ... :/JacPS 1.4.
LeakyShoes
Still no success!Absolutely gutted that I cant do something as simple as importing product images. When I switched from Interspire it was because of their lack of support for multiple variations, that was easy thanks to PrestChangeo but now I cant import images......what?Surely this cant be that difficult, does anybody have any ideas why they arent importing please I am happy to pay for some advice that leads to a solution. I've tried contacting Prestashop directly but no response yet.thanks

LeakyShoes
UPDATEI just did a fresh install on one of my other domains (same server) worked first time.....?The only difference was that the images were imported from a different server and not the one the shop is actually on.Going to try putting all the images on another server and pull them in from there and see what happens
LeakyShoes
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOFinally sorted, ridiculous reason how but its working.I uploaded all the images to a different domain, then used the full URL address in the images column and hey presto its working!!It seems that because the images were on the same server as the actual shop it wouldnt import them? Weird but true!Hope that helps somebody else!
opo
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!I uploaded all the images to a different domain, then used the full URL address in the images column and hey presto its working!! Can you explain in details how you did that ? please Is it that you gave an "external" url to each image ?
LeakyShoes
Yeah thats correct.for example say my actual store is at: http://www.storename.comI originally put all my images in a subfolder on that domain eg, http://www.storename.com/images/image1.jpgI tried loads of variations of this and various CHMOD settings but it never worked.I then put some sample images on one of my other websites: http://www.anothersite.com/images/image1.jpgand then made the necessary changes to my csv file.Re-imported the csv file and everything worked.....strange but it did? navid68
Thanks for the suggestion.... it didn't solve my problem: the import process stopped and the following message was on the screen:500 Internal Server errorI am trying with a new hosting service...
