Some nice features not implemented (or maybe that i haven't found yet?)

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

First of all i apologize by advance for my English (pardon my French... hehe but i'm from paris and it's quite hard to speak a good English).

I found prestashop veryyyy nice and thanks to all theses who contributed to the development of this magnificent tool...
While i was playing with it, and its millions of possibilities I didn't find some features that i would like to implement and i was wondering if they don't exist or if they exist but i didn't find it, before working manually on the development of theses features.

1) It's actually possible to see all the products of a category and all the products of a manufacturer, but is it possible to have the possibility to see all the products of a certain manufacturer ANd on a certain category? Let me explain, let's say i have 3 brands, microsoft (beurk), apple and sun, and 3 categories : laptops, OS, and CD, i would like the user of my shop to be able to see all the OS from apple for example? Is this possible? have anybody done something similar?

2)In the characteristics of a product, is it possible to implement a checkbox system to put some pictures over there (instead of the text only that is implemented by default in the backoffice). I mean i would like to have some checkbox in the backoffice and when the admin checks some then certain pictures automatically appears in the characteristic part of the website.

3) The magnifier : is it possible to have a magnifier when you roll over the pictures in the product details page? (an example of what i meant can be found here : http://www.jeanstory.com/fiche.php?id=3764 when you roll over the image). While browsing over the forum i saw a post about that, that had a link to a js tool (http://www.mind-projects.it/projects/jqzoom/demos.php#demo1) to do that. But there is no already made module about a magnifier. Of course it's not a problem to implement it myself but if it has already be done by somebody why bother... :D

Thanks to all that went thru the reading of this poor writing article, and sorry to bother with my questions.
Yves
