ATTRIBUTES DO NOT APPEAR ON THE PRODUCT DATA SHEET

Hello friends!

Does anyone know where the attribute insertion tool went in PrestaShop 9?

I can create the attribute I need, but I can't find it when creating the product in any tab.

Hi 🙂

In PrestaShop 9, Attributes are not a “product information” field anymore (and they never really were): they are only used to create Combinations / Variants (size, color, etc.).
That’s why you don’t “insert” an attribute on the product sheet like a normal field.

If you want variants (Size, Color…)

• Go to Catalog → Products
• Edit your product
• Open the Combinations tab
• Click Generate combinations (or Add a combination)
• Select your Attributes (Size, Color…) and generate

✅ Then the attributes will appear as selectable variants on the product page.

If you just want to show info on the “Product data sheet” (technical details)

Use Features, not Attributes:

• Catalog → Attributes & Features → Features (create your feature)
• Edit the product → Features tab → assign the values

✅ Features are what most themes display in the “Data sheet / Technical details” section.

So: Attributes = variants, Features = data sheet.

In PrestaShop 9, the "Combination/Attributes" tab has been replaced by this option located just below the product title.

To change a "Simple" product to "Combined," you need to activate this discreet toggle below the title.
