i can't set the image cover for a product

hello everyone.

i've installed prestashop 8.2.1 and i have a problem with image cover for a product. when i try to set image cover for a product the process of saving is ok but when i reload the page i can't see the image cover as you can see in the screenshot.

someone who can help me?

This behaviour is a known bug in PrestaShop 8.1/8.2 where you can click “set as cover” in the product image gallery but it doesn’t persist after saving; it’s been documented on GitHub (for example, Can’t set cover product image — https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/issues/34646 and related reports such as https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/issues/34534). GitHub+1 As of the latest 8.2.x releases there isn’t an official core fix specifically for this cover image behaviour in those branches, so the reliable workarounds are to disable the “New Product Page” in BO → Advanced Parameters → New & Experimental Features and retry, clear cache, or delete and re-upload images (first uploaded image becomes cover). Check that the image is correctly set as the cover. Sometimes, PrestaShop 8 doesn't enforce the uniqueness of the cover image properly.

Hi this is a known issue in PrestaShop 8.1 and 8.2 where setting a product image as cover seems to save but does not actually stay after reload. Many users have reported this.

A few things you can try

1 Disable the New Product Page from Advanced Parameters then New and Experimental Features and try again
2 Clear the cache after saving the image
3 Delete the images and upload them again because the first uploaded image often becomes the cover
