Blank page when returning from stripe?

Hi guys, i've spent a few hours on this now and i'm pretty stuck. I'm running Presta 9.0.0 and the official stripe payment module v3.6.8

I have sandbox stripe running and I can go all the way through the cart process but as soon as i click pay, the handleOrderAction page returns blank. The payment goes to stripe and shows as object "payment_intent" and status "requires_payment_method", Presta shows the payment as awaiting payment confirmation.

The token is present in the URL, the cookie data is present, webhooks are set, I manually added footer incase that was the issue. Presta is signed in on the module, data is shared, theme is the original with different colours. All other checkout methods turned off. Condition still exists in incognito mode, if I F5 on the white screen it returns the orderFailure screen with cartID 0 showing the error "An error occured during your payment. Please try again or contact the website owner." The last message in logs given is "Frontcontroller::init - Cart cannot be loaded or an order has already been placed using this cart"

Also as a side note in orders it's only me placing test orders, but random names and addresses appear in the log? I inserted none of these, i'm not even located in the same country and the data doesn't seem to relate to any real name, phone number or location. The email addresses are usually prestashop.com i.e. [email protected]

Edit: The sane happens with COD, except ps_cashondelivery/validation returns a blank screen
