NemesisNG
Hi, wanting to take a full shop backup, copy to a new subfolder and then use that to test upgrading to V9. I've copied the entire folder from /shop/ where is is currently, and put it in /shop9test/. I've backed up the database and restored to a new database, changed the connection details in the parameters file. And I've updated the shop url in the physical_uri filed in the database itself. But, no matter what I do when I visit mydomain/shop9test it redirects me to mydomain/shop Help!

NemesisNG
Thanks, seems there was something the .htaccess file causing the redirect. That problem resolved, but now I'm having issues with the temporary store telling me it's not the registered URL in my account: Action required: confirm your store URL We've noticed that your store's URL no longer matches the one registered in your PrestaShop Account. For your services to function properly, you must either confirm this change or create a new identity for your store. Then when I go to the upgrade assistant I can choose: Update your store Update your store to benefit from the latest improvements, bug fixes and security patches. But then I get: Error 500 Something went wrong... It seems there was an issue with the server. This type of error usually happens when: The server is temporarily unavailable. There's a misconfiguration or unexpected problem on the server. The first time I tried the update assistant it went past this and made me upgrade some modules first, but then going back thats all I get now. El Patron
you should share production prestashop version and version you are wanting to upgrade to. I would not, and most experienced people would agree, not to upgrade to ps9 yet.
