PrestaShop Social with Facebook & Instagram - is it still supported?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if this module is still supported - and whether it actually works with PrestaShop 8.2?

We’re currently testing the free 14-day trial to sync our catalog with Facebook, but so far it’s not working at all. I’ve tried reaching their support, but haven’t received any response.

Has anyone here managed to get it working? If yes, did you encounter any issues or specific steps to make the sync happen?

 

For context:

I can successfully connect it to our Facebook account and even create a new Catalog through the module.

However, the sync never happens - products are verified, Sync is turned ON, and I’ve tried the “If you need to synchronize your entire catalog, click here” option several times.

On Facebook’s side, approved products remain 0, and there’s no information about any rejected ones either. It just seems like the syncing process never starts.

Any insights or confirmation that this works (or doesn’t) on PS 8.2 would be super helpful!

I hit the same wall a while ago and ended up skipping the built-in module altogether. For boosting visibility on Instagram and Facebook, I started using famoid.com instead. It gave my page a decent push without messing with any shop setup. Integration isn't needed, and it's way less buggy than trying to fix broken modules.
