Can't download my modules anymore after free updates period expired from MyPresta?

Hi!

I bought a module from him once, and well it was money lost but it's ok.

Now, I was trying to download the module again from my account, but I realized that the download button doesn't work. It shows the message 'Free updates time experied'.

Is it right that after the free updates period on this site you can't download previous latest version of the module anymore? So, it's like any other SaaS service.

Thanks!

so you were wanting a module with updates for life and didn't get and want to complain?  As a developer I can share our side yes?  developers have to eat, pay for their kids colleges etc.

when will you stop complaining about mypresta.eu?  this is not your first post concerning this...

Thank you very much for your reply 🙂

I explained myself wrong, and I apologize about that.

What I meant is that the user should still be able to download the last version of the module they had access to up until the end of support for new updates.

In other words, it currently doesn’t allow downloading newer versions (which is totally understandable and I accept that), but it also doesn’t allow downloading the last version released before the update period ended.

By the other hand, it was a question for users who bought from this site just to confirm that was I explaining, or if it's something that should be reported to the admin to fix it.

There are no defined standards for this. It really depends on the organization or platform. I’ve personally lost access to downloads on popular platforms like ThemeForest as well, when items were disabled or removed by the sellers.

Usually, the free support period (3–6 months) is considered sufficient time to download the module and keep a backup on your end. Ideally, you should keep the backup with you.

Thank you for the explanation, now I understand.
