Web Wolk
I run a PrestaShop store with a large catalog of products, and I’m trying to improve my organic rankings. What are the best SEO practices for PrestaShop in 2025? How should I handle duplicate content issues with product variations? Are there recommended modules for SEO optimization? What’s the best way to optimize meta titles, descriptions, and product URLs? I’d appreciate tips from the community on what has worked for your PrestaShop stores. Olivier CLEMENCE
hello If you have a large number of products, I recommend checking out our sitemap module: **Op’art Sitemap**, and our AI content generation module: **Op’art AI Content Manager**. The first one is specifically designed to create an optimized sitemap that can handle large stores. The second one will help you quickly and automatically fill in your long descriptions, short descriptions, meta descriptions, and title tags. It can also translate your products into multiple languages in just a few clicks. vifen
Use combinations (“variants”) and don't create multiple identical products. PrestaShop allows you to add combinations to a product page: sizes, colors, etc. This way, you only have one URL for the product, and the variants are managed internally. This reduces duplicate content.
El Patron
SEO is dead — long live visitor experience. Search engines no longer reward tricks or keyword stuffing. They reward how real visitors use your site. For large catalogs this means: Keep menus simple — send visitors to category pages where faceted filters make product discovery easy. Ensure speed and above-the-fold content so users see what they need right away. Add instant checkout options (Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal) and seamless cart access. Use meta titles/descriptions only to improve click-through rates in search results — they don’t drive ranking. Sitemaps are no longer essential. Search engines can crawl and discover content through internal links. They’re useful for large or complex sites, but not the foundation of SEO anymore. In today’s environment, visitor experience is the strongest SEO signal. Google tracks engagement — if your site is fast, simple, and intuitive, rankings follow.
