inTempoDK
Hi, Some of my catalogs inventory is based on plates i have, eg. having 1000 items, but they all use same "plate" to create the item, this must be based on attribute groups, where eg i have 100 of 1 kind, 200 of 1 kind ect. So my question is, is there a way to put items in/out of stock, based on a attribute stock, not item stock? Eg, have 10 blue plates, 20 red plates, when someone order 1 item in red plate, it updates the general stock for that item to 19 red plates, and when all items are sold out of eg. red its grayed out, and if also all blue is sold out, the item gets out of stock. So basicly what i need is, stock in certain catalog groups or items, should be based on stock availability for a attribute group, so i dont have to update 1000 items when i buy more plates manually. Can this be done? or is there a module for it? I hope that makes sense

Doris D
Yes, what you’re describing is commonly known as “attribute-based” or “variant-based” inventory management. Many popular e-commerce systems (like WooCommerce, Shopify, Prestashop, and Magento) have plugins/modules for this. Search for “stock management by product attributes” or “shared stock” for your specific platform. For example, in Prestashop, modules like “Combination Stock Manager” can help. In WooCommerce, “WooCommerce Attribute Stock” plugin does this. Your item’s stock will update automatically based on the attribute (like plate color) rather than the individual item. You won't need to update each item manually!
