Extract products from DB

Hi guys, 

recently my website crashed and even after restoring from a back up it still doesn’t work. I assume this is due to a failed downgrade from 8.2 to 1.7.8.

i still have all the original files and database.

i have started making a new site, is there a way i can transfer the products from the current database to the new database? I don’t want to move anything else in case the old DB is corrupt.

any help would greatly speed up my process

I think migrationpro module can be used for the same but check with the module developer directly first.

Manually can also be done but that requires DB knowledge and manual effort. Exporting products & category related tables from OLD DB to new DB, and do the table structure comparison and accordingly make the table structure changes in the imported tables.
