assholedesign08
Hi, i just feel frustrated, to the point i gave up googling and tweaking all the stuff myself. I've decided to upgrade my 1.7.5 ps to 8 couple years ago. Each time i download "1 click" upgrade and do about 5000 more clicks than the plugin name says, but to no avail. Eventually i give up, try again in a few months, and so on. Each time i encounter different bugs, sometimes i dont even manage to start the upgrade, sometimes upgrade fails, sometime i do upgrade but everything is FUBAR. This time i use the newest version of the update plugin with the new design. There are just 2 boxes to check - update your store or rollback. I check update. But the button "get started" just doesnt work. Thats it. I downloaded php page that checks if all requirements met - they do meet the requirements. I dont have much hope in this post or in prestashop in general, but maybe i get lucky? I dont get it, i've worked with a lot of various CMS but i've never met someting such stubborn to upgrade. Its dedicated server, php version - tried every version that 1.7.5 supports. But what can a man do with a broken button and broken hopes... Thankfully i managed to progress somewhat. I remebered i was able to upgrade, that was at least something. But at that time i wasnt able to do so, tried like 5 versions of 1-click (!!ZERO!! !!CLICK!!) upgrade module but to no avail. Fortunately i managed to get the vesion i was using before which is 6.2, that did the trick, i upgraded, now i need to manage how to make something worthwile with updated website full of glitches. DB is updated thats something, with the help of this guy (HE IS GENIOUS, and stuff he does actually works unlike all the 200 eur addons on the market) i managed to transfer updated DB to clean install. With some work i think i can do this, i just need to rebuild website design i did, templates and all, well, i hope this will work. Gosh moving from older PS to newer is probably harder than going from 40 years of alcoholism to being 100% sober
