Mark Rogers
I want the homepage of my site to be "content" about the company rather than presenting products. Most of the site pages will be product based so I don't really want to have to use a different CMS for just a handful of pages, but I do need the initial view to be something more like a traditional company website rather than a shop site. Is this possible with PS(8.2.1)?
Divine
Hello, Yes you just have to use the catalog mode option.
QuickUpdate.net
@Divine I think that disables the product listing altogether, no?
Divine
No, it just disables shopping features like cart, add to cart buttons...
QuickUpdate.net
I think the op does not want the cart disabled....
Thierry L
Hi, yes it's possible to creating a Homepage Without Displaying Products in PrestaShop 8. You simply need to edit the homepage content and disable the modules that display products. Steps to follow: Go to Appearance > Pages (or Design > Pages) Click on the "Home" or "Index" page. Remove any product blocks (e.g. Featured Products, New Products...). Add your own text, images, store presentation, etc. Disable product display modules Go to Modules > Module Manager. Search for and disable: Featured Products on the homepage New Products Best Sellers, etc. (Optional) Create a custom CMS page Go to Appearance > Pages and create a new CMS page. Add your presentation content. Then go to Settings > Traffic & SEO, and set this CMS page as your new homepage. Result: your homepage becomes a clean storefront without any products, ideal for introducing your brand or concept before users enter the catalog.
