How to include subcategories (child categories) in Featured Products Block

Hi,

On my homepage, I would like the module featured products to include the products from subcategories. In the configuration of the module there is not option to select subcategories or multiple categories... We can only select one category at a time... So if I choose a parent category, no products will be shown.

There is no problem in modifying the ps_featuredproduct module to display from multiple categories, but the problem is that it does not have its own controller (page) to display all products from selected categories including pagination. But that is not a problem either, but it requires programming knowledge. It is faster to program your own module, or find a ready-made one on prestashop addons 😉

The design above is not bad, but it requires a lot of editing, product selection, category placement, saving....
