WorldwideRETRO
I have installed and set up Prestashop using the "Softaculous" installer. I installed it in a subfile on a domain X. I have now directed domain Y to that file. I would like to change the shop's URL from https://oldDomain.com/shop/ to the shop's actual domain in the "shop" file. I figured this would be an easy change. I can't find it if it is! Thanks for your assistance. Knowband Plugins
Access the database using the PHPMyAdmin, Edit the shop_url table & Edit the domain name in the "domain" & "domain_ssl" columns. Need to edit the "physical_uri" to "/" if you want to keep the URL of the shop with folder like https://newdomain.com/ After that, Login into the admin, clear the cache & regenerate the htaccess file. WorldwideRETRO
Thank You! Somebody should build this function into Admin. I hate going into the databases, but I'll give her a swing! Best Regards, Russ
WorldwideRETRO
As expected, the whole thing is down now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
El Patron
You want prestashop files in main domain not as a folder 'shop'? If so then you need to move files from 'shop' folder, then change url in db to domain name without https://. If that was not your objective then ignore me loool. I recommend installing ps using download from ps, upload to domain space, unzip and install rather than using 3rd party install
WorldwideRETRO
Okay, I stumbled through it. Changing the URL this way unformatted the back end and scrambled the front end until I was finally able to back door regenerating the htaccess file. But, it's done. Thanks Again
