What happened to Prestashop???

I just need to write some stuff because this shit is getting annoying. I have used many versions of Prestashop but kinda ended in the 1.7 era. Now I need to install a new shop and I'm so frustated about the whole installation. 2 days later, i still dont have v8 installed. 

- Direct new install of "prestashop_edition_basic_version_8.2.0" 
Not working, always error 500 because api.segment.io is unreachable. EVEN WHEN INSTALLING WITHOUT MODULES!!!

- Endless reading on internet because above installer doesn't register in error log. Found multiple people suggesting just to install 1.7 and upgrade with the 1-click installer.... WELL OK.

- Installed 1.7 (which actually did work instantly)

- Installed 1-click installer through market. Run installer v6.3.0.

Latest official version for major channel.: 8 stable - (8.2.0)

UPGRADE PRESTASHOP NOW!   --- YESSS CANT WAIT TO FINALLY START USING PRESTASHOP V8!!!!!

Great. Just great. 

- Returning to google. 

- Multiple people OH YEAH 1-CLICK installer is SHIT USE THE OLD VERSIONS. I just can't. Really, this shit is SO stupid. Come on Prestashop, why can't you even have the most BASIC functions working in your script. LOOSE all the fancy installer stuff, you can't get it to work anyways.

EDIT: I finally managed to upgrade by manually uploading 8.2.0 files in autoupgrade/latest/ 
Spend wayyyy to much time on this.
